Want a more intimate experience with a group of friends? Wood Fire Food offers an immersive and interactive experience where diners cultivate connections to their food, the chef and each other! Chef Daniel Sabia treats anywhere from 2 to 15 guests to a live-fire cooking class followed by a farm-to-table meal all in your own backyard. Gimme Drama! 

Sherlock Holmes at Lyndhurst: Enter the world of Sherlock Holmes – or come about as close as you can – with the production of “A Scandal in Bohemia” in Tarrytown’s Lyndhurst Mansion. The show is adapted from the Arthur Conan Doyle short story. By staging it in the 19th-century Gothic Revival mansion, the Red Monkey Theater Group and the M&M Performing Arts invite the audience into the very room where the famous detective matches wits with the equally clever Irene Adler.

White Plains Performing Arts Center: Check WPPAC for a rotating roster of shows. A couple of gems: Broadway Fright Night (Oct. 30) with five Broadway singers performing hits from Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and others with supernatural, horror or sci-fi themes. Souls of Tango (Nov. 12 & 13), presented by master choreographers and dancers Analia Carreño and Luis Ramirez, with 17 tangueros performing the dance to a live band.

“Merrily We Roll Along”: ARC Stages in Pleasantville’s Community Stage present Stephen Sondheim’s 1981 musical. The story traces the lives of a Broadway composer-turned-Hollywood producer and his two friends backward from late in their careers to their optimism-fueled beginnings.
